Gerard Vincent "Gerry" Weber Sr.
MILLSBORO, DE. - Gerard "Gerry" Vincent Weber Sr., age 77, of Millsboro, formerly of Aston, Pa., passed away Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, at the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was born in Collingdale, Pa., son of the late, John and Beatrice (Moyer) Weber. He was a District Sales Manager for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, retiring in 1984 after 30 years of service. Gerry was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, a member of Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church in Oak Orchard and he enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ruth C. Weber; six children, Gerard Weber, Jr. (Susan) of Saugerties, N.Y., J. Mark Weber (Betsy) of Wake Forest, N.C., Matthew Weber of Wake Forest, N.C., Ann Marie DiTomaso (Daniel) of Glen Mills, Pa., Erick Weber of Aston, Pa., and Michael Weber of Edgemont, Pa.; a brother, Bernard (Elizabeth) Weber of Camden; two sisters, Lee Costigan (James) of Havertown, Pa., Therese Weber of Alabama; and 12 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. at Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, 30839 Mount Joy Rd., Millsboro. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Gerry's memory to, American Diabetes Association , P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
